When our nervous systems are dysregulated, it can show up in many different ways—physically, emotionally, and behaviorally. In a Somatic Experiencing session, the therapist supports the client in gently tracking their body’s responses to uncover patterns, build awareness, and restore a sense of regulation. This might involve becoming more mindful of physical sensations, exploring movement, or incorporating elements of somatic touch, depending on the client’s needs and comfort level.
